1. When selling an REO property, try to remember that aesthetics are an important part of what buyers are looking for. Try to make sure that your property looks good & looks like some care has been put into it.
2.  Remember that there is already a presumption that bank owned properties sell way under the market value. So if you’re looking to flip your REO quickly, be sure to price it under the market value.
3.  Selling a bank owned property should be no more difficult than selling a regular house, if you make sure to follow the simple guidelines of selling a house.
4.  When hiring a contractor, make sure to check that they have the proper liability insurance before signing a contract with them.
5.  Ask your contractor for some references, an even for some pictures of their previous look, so you can get a general idea of what their capabilities are.
6. If you are still unsure if your contractor is reputable, contact the BBB (better business bureau) or your local city’s license & inspections office to see if they are familiar with your contractor, and how they do business.
